The March 8 South Bay Area NVDA training is almost upon us! It’s a truly unique, free offering courtesy of Diablo Rising Tide. Activism doesn’t have to just be in Oakland or SF…all parts of the Bay Area can cultivate this tradition. Even the “sleepy bedroom towns” of San Jose and the surrounding areas…..we have the numbers. We can make change.

If you’ve never taken part in any march, protest, blockade, sit-in, or action of any kind, this training is for you! You don’t need to commit to anything on this day, so if you’re afraid or hesitant, let’s put those fears to rest. Important note: There are many support roles as well as “arrestable” ones during an action.

If you have lots of experience as an activist and a long history of personal involvement — this day is for you also. We can collaborate, share our knowledge and get ready to make our voices heard and our presence known.

This training will be an important place to get plugged in for upcoming spring actions, which include blockading/occupying a number of key locations as part of the “Stop the Pipeline Campaign” through March, culminating in disrupting business at 1,000 bank branches across the country on April 23, 2020.
